SALVATION

Salvation comes when you would be
	a savior to yourself.
	Salvation is a paradox indeed.
A happy dream in which you must forgive
	what never was —
forget that which is not, your only need.
No longer seek for things the ego wants,
	HIS will be done.
Abandon dreams of what you never were.
Reverse the substitute of idle wishes
	for God’s will.
	Insure the ego’s full divestiture.
Then watch the dream of "separation"
	start to disappear,
the gap you filled with terror fade from view.
	The foolish toys you crafted
	from imaginary fear
will cease to hide the Son of God in you.
And as you realize this truth
	for every child of God,
each one of them is freed by what you know.
Freed from what could never have been
	true of God’s beloved,
as Jesus our dear Savior came to show.
