I have published a collection of poetry on-line titled, "Spirit and The Ego, Clash of Ancient Titans". The poems in that collection convey the same message and lessons as this course. In the Forward to that work is the following paragraph, which accurately characterizes the nature of this ongoing imaginary conflict. "Masquerading as the so-called human ego, the 'carnal mind' struggles mightily against Spirit. In its futile quest for legitimacy, this parody of genuine selfhood concocts a fraudulent mortal representation of man with which to unite, convinced that doing so will lend validity to its delusions. With predictable, self-absorbed arrogance, it wages an imaginary and vain warfare against the relentless onslaught of spirituality an onslaught which will ultimately expose its nothingness, and an onslaught against which it is incapable of mounting a defense."
