FOCUS

Your Father has created you to be His holy Son,
Extending His divinity to everything you think or see,
Beholding through eternity the good that He has done.

But if you don't remember who you are, the world you see
Is prison to the Son of God; your destiny becomes the sod,
And dreams of resurrection are a hopeless fantasy.

How could the world be anything but dangerous and cruel
When seen in such a vicious light, condemned by this distorted sight;
Forsaken by an unknown God who's disinclined to rule.

Deny your own identity and this is what remains:
No sight or sound but speaks of loss, mortality becomes the cross
You bear in resignation through a world where discord reigns.

To disavow one's selfhood is a senseless game to play.
For one thing only can be true, you are as God created you,
The image of His likeness, not a conscious lump of clay.

So rise above this worldly view that makes a prison here
To hold the Son of God in bonds, and every one on earth responds
With gratitude, and freedom from the ego's guilt and fear.

Now, in your thought, is everything you look on wholly changed!
Earth and Heaven are seen anew, and all God's Sons are one with you,
Rejoicing in a union which our Father pre-arranged.
