EGO-THINK

In "ego-think" the human body houses human minds.
This foolish speculation is the very thing that binds
Humanity to dreams which always culminate in fear
By circumscribing life between a birthday and bier.
The body is a teaching aid for us to set aside
As lessons of the Spirit are progressively applied.
So tendencies of sensory perception to deceive, —
To influence its unsuspecting victims to believe
That foolish notions such as these are somehow based on fact —
Will be replaced by vision which is so much more exact.
The Christly view of consciousness, reflecting God alone,
Supplies the only means by which the Son of God is known.

When dust was called a "living soul"1, and transient egos made,
The lie that minds inhabit human bodies was arrayed
In thought as a suggestion contradicting God's decree
That man would be His perfect likeness for eternity.
Can mortal egos manufacture dreams of guilt and fear
And launch them as realities with power to appear
In thought as circumstances which control the way we see
The universe of Spirit?  No!  Not in reality.
For God retains omnipotent control of all that is,
And every thought that Mind includes can only be but His.
So, it is never you or me the ego tempts with lies
To search for Mind in bodies; it alone is that unwise.
