DISCOVERY What more is there to something than the knowledge that it's there? Beyond our own awareness, could we find it anywhere? Is there another place where we believe that things exist? And if we tried to prove as much, would not the proof resist Our efforts to exhibit that which no one seems to know? Those undiscovered facts are not available for show. We know that all the facts exist which constitute what's true. We know that trees grow leaves that fall, that one and one are two. Could anybody count the leaves that fell in '58? How many children under twelve that year learned how to hate? How many lamps did merchants sell in Africa today? How many foolish people has temptation led astray? When dinosaurs were roaming earth could airplanes still have flown? The laws that govern flight were here, albeit still unknown. Well, if they're here and yet unknown, where is it that they hide? Where do the facts which haven't been discovered yet reside? They hide behind the false belief in many separate minds, For no one who inquires from that perspective ever finds The answer to his questions. But I guess thats no surprise. From such a faulty premise, false conclusions must arise. For where but in eternal Mind could all of truth exist? Of what, but all that truth contains, could such a Mind consist? And where would it be found except for everywhere we are? As close to us as thought itself, and equally as far. For Mind that is eternal must encompass all that's true. And who is there to know that it exists but me and you? And Mind itself, of course, which knows its own infinity, And recognizes all that is as its epitome. So look for all the facts which aren't discovered yet in Mind. For infinite intelligence alone is where you'll find How many leaves fell from the trees in 1958. And how the laws that govern human flight originate. How many lamps the merchants sold in Africa today. And who the foolish people really are whove gone astray. Astray, because they think that they possess a separate mind. But Mind cannot be separate from God, or be defined As limited, as plural, but as infinite, as One. When we discover this the world's redemption has begun. Home Back Next |
