THE BIG LIE

The spending of our government is far beyond control,
and reigning in the spenders is our most important goal.
We're taxed to death for everything from gasoline to beer,
and Uncle Sam consumes about one third of our career.
I understand that children born in 1994
will pay a rate of income tax which no one can ignore.
They'll relegate three fifths of what they earn to Uncle Sam
unless the voters put a stop to this unholy scam.
Our legislators vote themselves enormous pension plans
while smiling at the television cameras for their fans.
They confiscate our earnings and they squander them at will
on transfer payments, give-aways, and any other frill
that seems to strike their philanthropic fancy to be kind
and generous with what we've earned to people disinclined
to take responsibility for their own lot in life;
who think that Uncle Sam is father, husband, mother, wife.
These policies will undermine our peace in years to come,
for tax revolt and civil strife will be preferred by some
to paying tax of 84 percent through their careers,
and trusting honest Uncle Sam to fund their golden years.
This recipe has been a failure everywhere it's tried,
in Socialist and Communist republics far and wide.
But liberals have learned that giving money to the poor
can buy them seats in Congress, and can open up the door
to Pennsylvania Anenue, where cover-ups and lies
are easier to perpetrate and simpler to disguise.
And why?  Because the media is eager to assist,
and lend their fellow liberals the necessary twist
to spin events in just the way they want them to appear.
To misinform the public and create an atmosphere
of crisis, where the elderly will die in poverty
and children will be starved by members of the GOP.
The Liberals are feverishly working to deceive
the voters of America, to make them all believe
that black is white and growth in spending constitutes a cut,
a proposition Mr. Newt could easily rebut.
However, due to bias in the media today,
their efforts to assassinate his character display
complicity with liberals to undermine the man,
and sabotage the future of a balanced-budget plan.
They say he wants to poison all the water and the air,
destroy our social safety net, abolish Medi-care.
But these are not the targets of his legislative bills,
their aim, and main objective, is to heal our fiscal ills.
So why are Democratic politicians so afraid?
Because they've seen their legislative powers retrograde.
While freshmen from the GOP assume the reigns of power,
and institute reforms which take away their trusted tower
of privilege and freedom from accountability.
Exposing years of cover-ups for fiscal policy
of tax and spend ad nauseam and all at our expense,
accumulating future debts defying common sense.
And will we ever hear about their culpability —
these darlings of the media whose liberal pedigree
excludes them from the scrutiny conservatives endure?
Or will their efforts once again successfully obscure
the truth, by repetitious lies reported in the press
by journalists and anchors who beguilingly profess
to have objective points of view which clearly they do not,
and so become accomplices with liberals in the plot
to grow the size of government.  To tax us ever more.
To punish true achievers.  To create dependant poor.
To sacrifice the future of our nation as a whole.
To tell the biggest lies on record just to keep control.
